RESEARCH PROGRAM OF THE TECHNICAL SCHOOL OF HIGHER EDUCATION

 

The goal of the Technical School of Higher Education is to focus scientific endeavors in support to the undergraduate and graduate programs. In doing so, it expects to achieve results which shall prove of interest to the community.

 

In its daily activities, the Institute fosters the continuous involvement of professors and students in research activities additional to those considered of priority for each program. These initiatives are prone to evolve into future research projects.

 

Strategically, the Institute is currently at different stages of research – primary source surveys, feasibility assessments, or actual analysis – in the following topics, belonging to the Research Plan 2008-2013 and matching the technological areas of special interest of the SSICyDT and the Ministry of Defense.

 

  • Simulation systems, software development, and connectivity;
  • Alternative sources of energy and environmental issues;
  • Real-time control systems;
  • Target acquisition systems;
  • Material science and testing.
